One of many insights from the Venerable Zen Master Thich
Nhat Hanh is this: There is no way to peace, peace is the way. But how
do we sustain peace in ourselves and cultivate peace in the world when our too
full-days are set in such unsettled and uncertain times?
Nearly 2,600 years ago, a spiritual seeker woke up to the true
nature of reality. The lessons and practices he shared
with followers were simple and practical yet profound. This man came to be
known as “The Buddha,” meaning “the fully awakened one.” As relevant today as
ever, these teachings offer us a path to peace.
We're delighted you're joining the Charleston Interreligious Council and Indigo
Sangha—greater-Charleston’s Mindfulness Practice Center in The Plum Village
Community of Engaged Buddhism—to experience and apply teachings from The
Buddha to the circumstances and opportunities of your life.
There is no charge for this event.
